Description

A deep-sea submersible filled with an international research crew lies disabled at the bottom of the Pacific after having been attacked by a massive shark previously thought to be extinct. With time running out, expert deep sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) is recruited by a visionary Chinese oceanographer (Winston Chao) to save the crew—and the ocean itself—from this unstoppable threat: a pre-historic 75-foot-long shark known as the Megalodon. What no one could have imagined is that years before, Taylor had encountered this same terrifying creature. Now he must risk his own life to save everyone trapped below...bringing him face to face once more with the greatest and largest predator of all time!

Not good. Animation is stupid. Script writing is horrible. Dwight died.👎 predictable the whole time. It’s dumb.

Awful the cast looked as if they were lost and Jason statham couldn’t transport them. It’s beyond me how crap like this makes it into theaters, but hey who am I to talk right.. just watch jaws and thankful

But this movie was an exception. So here’s how it went. My family goes out leaving me behind with the two grandsons ages 6 & 2. Two year old passes out early leaving the six year old to party with. We make our popcorn and put Meg in to watch. Me half thinking I won’t get involved in this movie and I’ll be caring for the two year old who will definitely wake up once we start the movie. Didn’t work out that way. Once I started watching I was hooked. The six year old and I watched it twice that night. The actors and actresses were pretty good, the effects, well a little bit not realistic. But that saved me when I told my kids that I let their six year old watch a scary movie. The way they (parents) reacted you would have thought I let their kid drink a can of soda (which I did). The Six year old told his parents the movie wasn’t scary, he never had one nightmare. But then again he attends public school...the scariest place on the planet! Please understand however, it’s not a kid movie.
  • Kinda’ too corny.

Warm and fuzzy, juxtaposed against hard action and bloody shark innards spewing about. Good CG!
  • Terrible

What happened tor real film reviews. RT should be working in Russia trying to elect our next president. With ratings so unbelievably inaccurate RT would have me thinking 60 minutes is real reporting. Don’t waste your time or money watching this piece of trash. Even for 49 cents. Just my 2 cents.
  • Not bad

Jason Statham makes the movie. Its actually not bad, keeps you interested. And who doesn’t love a shark movie? Worth watching.

I rented this movie, for some reason it wouldn’t let me watch. I downloaded this movie on to my iPad, still won’t let me watch it. Don’t understand why? I’m doing it under WiFi as well so that’s definitely not the problem. I would like to watch this movie or get credit for another one if I’m still not able to watch it before the 30 days..

What we see is science and exploration driven and is worldly, multigenerational, multiracial, multiligual, with a precious, precocious tot, and strong, smart female rolls with the half-naked person in the shower being played by a man (oh, thank you JS!). What's missing are vile, insidious bad guys with guns, massive navies and horrendous patriarchal corporations digging for dollars or fish for zoos. All they are doing is trying to learn and explore. And, once they've made a mistake, they're tyring to correct it. I can't begin to tell you how refreshing that is. This movie has humor, heart, a huge, fantastic, enviable, underwater facility and living quarters (it's on my wish-list now), deep-sea creatures, subs, nods to Jaws, shocks, awes, lots of heartbreak, more hilarity and maybe even an eventual victory. Either way, it's not just people that need to get out of the water.
