  • Don’t listen to the hate

It’s a great film. Beautiful first act, too.
  • Complete downer!

    By Bermax722
The most depressing depiction of the most uplifting adventure in the entire history of humankind!
  • Very slow

Two movies in a row - the new Blade Runner and First Man - I can now say I'm not a big fan of Ryan Reynolds. The movie is very slow moving. The space travel scenes are done well.
  • haunting

beautful, dark, showcases humanity and the most common emotion: loneliness
  • Accurate & Worth Watching!

    By Only1Bode
An accurate portrayal of Neil Armstrong's character, intellect and poise. Also depicts events most relevant to the Apollo mission from Armstrong's P.O.V. Definately worth a watch! And what's better is that it's not overly dramatized of fictional (like Gravity, etc.).
  • Politically motivated movie Revised

If you all think this movie is has all the facts, then you been duped. Another "Let rewrite history to my point of view". To those who gave it a 5 star, get your head out of the sand.

    No flag. No sale.
  • A true recreation

    By Lilyr360
Many people distorted what the moon landing was, what the Apollo program represented, and who the astronauts where. As a long time spaceflight history enthusiast the movie stays true to the facts and delivers an accurate recreation of Neil Armstrong’s life.
  • Just Ok

It's Ok. It is slow in parts and not that great. I would re watch The Right Stuff again before this.
  • I really wanted to love this movie

    By AnakinFlair
the title says it all. I have never wanted to love a movie more than First Man. I love NASA, and the race to the moon. I devour everything they put out about it. Apollo 13 is still one of my favorite movies, and I wish I could get From the Earth to the Moon on iTunes to watch it again. And this movie- the acting is superub, the casting is great. I bought the soundtrack and love listening to it. But because of one choice by the director, I've found this movie to be unwatchable. And that choice is the idea to use handheld cameras in EVERY SINGLE SCENE. The constant shakey-cam left me with such a bad case of motion sickness, I actually had to walk out of this movie in theaters. I went ahead and bought it on iTunes because I thought that maybe it would be easier to watch on a TV. I was wrong. The only thing that made it easier was I was able to turn away and do other things while this just played in the background. Do yourself a favor. You want to know the story of Neil Armstrong and Apollo, go read the book. At least that won't make you sick.
