Vice President Selina Meyer is eyeing a promotion to Commander-in-Chief in Season 3 of this bitingly humorous HBO comedy series starring Emmy(R)-winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus. After the revelation at the end of Season 2 that the president will not run for reelection, Selina and her screwball staff set up an exploratory campaign office (with Amy and Dan vying to be her campaign manager), travel to Silicon Valley (to raise money) and London (to meet with heads of state), and prep for a possible run in the primaries against newly resigned Secretary of Defense Maddox and her nemesis Danny Chung.

  • What happened to this show

    By Laws215
Did they fire the writers? Seasons 1 & 2 were hilarious. This year the plot lines go off in obtuse directions, the humor is telegraphed prior to delivery and there are just too many dull, flat scenes for a comedy. Didn’t laugh once through 10 episodes. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is so talented she could make a coma entertaining and the good cast make it watchable, but they just had nothing interesting to work with. This season turned VEEP into a pedestrian sitcom at best.

VEEP is by far the best comedy on TV now. Smart, fast moving and hilarious. Gary makes me cry with laughter. JLD is one of my idols.
  • Siri, Why Does God Allow Suffering?

The new season puts our favorite insular schemers in unfamiliar territory--with normal people. Can they focus their bile on political opponents while keeping the splatter away from the taxpayers? The evolving arc of this series keeps the comedy fresh. By the way, we're still waiting for an answer, Siri.
  • Amazing Season!

This season of Veep is probably the best. The cast works so well together and Julia is better than ever. I can't wait until next season, to see how hey follow up on the developments of Season 3.
  • Another Great Season!

This is definitely my current favorite TV comedy, witty and fast-paced with a fantastic cast. The best episode for me is "Debate", which had me rolling in tears with laughters. Can't wait for the next season!!

Veep wins again with its amazing jokes and excellent plot. While the first two episodes adjust the viewer to what happens during the rest of the season, the show continues to be as funny as ever making it perhaps the best season this show as ever head. Great job Julia Louis Dreyfus, Armando Iannucci, and HBO for making yet another amazing hit.
